Using Google Analytics


Acquire and Google Analytics integration is based on GA Events. When a visitor performs an action related to an interaction with Acquire Chat, the data is pushed to your Google Analytics account via the Analytics JavaScript.

Events are user interactions with content that can be measured independently from a web page or a screen load. Downloads, mobile ad clicks, gadgets, Flash elements, AJAX embedded elements, and video plays are all examples of actions you might want to measure as Events. 

Events are being passed with Category, Action, and Label attribute – each corresponding to the different information. This integration can collect the following information:

Let’s have a brief definition of some more events:

1.chat_maximize (Chat window maximize)

When a user clicks on the chat widget icon on your website, at that time the screen is maximized.

2.chat_minimize (Chat window Minimize)

When a user clicks the cancel button of the maximized screen of the chat widget, then this event has occurred.

3.click_start_new_chat (Click to start new chat)

When visitors click on the “New Conversation,” this event is created

4.back_to_list (Back to chat thread) 

When the user goes back from his existing chat to the chat list, this event has occurred.

Similarly, the below are all event logs, that gets created whenever a visitor clicks on particular buttons:

feedback_asked (Feedback asked)

When feedback is asked to the customer

feedback_submitted (Feedback Submitted)

When the visitor submits feedback

start_video_call (Video Call)

When the user initiates a video call 

call_end (Call end)

When a visitor ends a call

video_mute / video_unmute  (Video muted / Unmuted)

When a video gets muted/unmuted by visitor

audio_mute / audio_unmute (Audio muted)

When audio gets muted/unmuted by visitor

start_voice_call (Voice Call)

When the user initiates a voice call

trigger_open (Trigger open)

When chat is initiated at the triggered page of the website

trigger_close (Trigger Closed)

When the chat is triggered page is closed

trigger_reply (Trigger replied)

When a user starts the conversation on the triggered page

screen_mute/ screen_unmute (Screen muted/ Screen unmuted)

At the time of screen sharing/co-browsing, the screen is muted/unmuted

start_chat_text (Chat Started)

When a visitor starts the conversation
