Integrations
Slack
With Acquire and Slack’s integration, you can respond to chats right from Slack. Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1. Configure Acquire and Slack
Go to https://app.acquire.io/app-store search for Slack in the search bar. Next click “Install” next to the Slack icon. You’ll be redirected to Slack where you’ll need to connect your Slack URL for authentication. Once logged in, click “Authorize” to grant access to Acquire to send messages to Slack.
Step 2. Select Channel
You can select any of the channels from the list or pick a new channel when a visitor starts a chat. The message will get displayed under the selected channel.
Step 3. Chatting with your customers
After the integration is successfully installed, new Live Chats will create a new channel as shown in the image below, i.e. #acquire-chat-2381745. All team members will receive a new channel notification.
You will be given two options: “Answer Chat” and “Close Chat”.
After you pick the Answer chat option, the visitors’ unseen messages will be displayed as a thread.
When a customer sends a message new message will get displayed on the same channel, and a user can reply on the same thread.
Step 4. Close chat
To close the chat, click the “Close Chat“ option.
You can also close the thread if you can’t find the close chat button during an on-going chat.
Type: [YOUR MESSEGE] /close
During a chat or after a chat, when a user wants to close the current chat, he can use any of the above methods.
Note: To send a message in a private channel, invite our bot to your private channel, with the command /invite @acquire.
If you have any questions or need help, feel free to come to Live Chat or email support@acquire.io.
