Telegram

Bots are third-party applications that run inside Telegram

Go to https://app.acquire.io/app-store and click the "Install" button under Telegram.

Step1. Create a Bot and Integrate with Acquire

If you have already created a bot, then copy your app token and paste it to acquire and install it. Otherwise, use Bot Father.

Just talk to BotFather (https://telegram.me/botfather) or find Botfather(@BotFather) in the telegram app and follow a few simple steps listed below.

Creating a new bot

Use the /newbot command to create a new bot. The BotFather will ask you for a name and username, then generate an authorization token for you.

The name of your bot is displayed in the contact details and elsewhere.

The Username is a short name, to be used in mentions and telegram.me links. Usernames are 5-32 characters long and are case insensitive, but may only include Latin characters, numbers, and underscores. Your bot's username must end in ‘bot,’ e.g. ‘tetris_bot’ or ‘TetrisBot.’

Please enter your unique bot name there, and you will get a success message after that. You can fill all its details.

Generating an authorization token

If your existing token is compromised or you lost it for some reason, use the /token command to create a new one.

The token is a string along the lines of 1102131543:ASDadsaAawcvCH1vGWJxfaSRsdK5PALDsaw that is required to authorize the bot and send requests to the Bot API. Keep your token secure and store it safely; it can be used by anyone to control your bot in the wrong hands.

Go to the Acquire Admin Panel and enter the details of your bot app token and app name in telegram.

Paste all of this information.

Please configure your bot details, so that your bot webhook will be set automatically.

Step 2. Start messaging From Telegram to Acquire

Find bot with bot name on Telegram that you created.

You can send a message from a mobile bot or web bot and get messages on the Acquire Dashboard.

If you have any questions, feel free to Live Chat or email support@acquire.io.
