PII Form

PII or Personally identifiable information is any data that could potentially identify a specific individual. Within Acquire, you can protect your visitors' submitted data using the PII form in the App Store. Downloading and setting up a form is pretty straight forward.  

To begin, go to the App Store and type in "PII Form" in the search bar. Next click "Install" under the PII Form app icon. Click install again in the pop-up window that appears. 

Click the Plus Icon and write down the name of the form that you would like to create. Below this area, you can add a disclaimer that explains to visitors that their full data will not be saved and will be masked after the chat is closed. 

You can then add fields that you would like to collect and verify from your visitors. Once you are finished, click Save Custom Setting and then update in the upper right-hand corner. Make sure the app is enabled.

Now in a Live Chat, you can select the PII form and then choose the card you would like the visitor to input.

Once the card is selected, the form will appear on the visitor's side. After the form is submitted, the visitor will see that their information is masked and only a few characters will be shown to ensure that the data is theirs. 

The user can now verify the visitor's information for a brief period. Once the chat is closed, the submitted form data is masked and cannot be reaccessed.
