General Settings - Security
Application security is the use of software, hardware, and procedural methods to protect applications from external threats. Here we will outline Whitelisting Domains, and incorporating File Type Permissions.
Whitelisting Domains:
Whitelisting is the practice of explicitly allowing identified entities access to a particular privilege, service, mobility, access, or recognition. This is, in other words, a list of domains approved for authorized access to data. Here you can add domains that you want to whitelist.
Allow users login IP:
If the user IP matches to allowed IP addresses listed here, the user will be logged in, otherwise not.
File Types Permissions:
As the name suggests, here you can set your preferences for receiving and sending files during a chat. Whitelist safe file extensions to allow certain file types.
To do so, you have to write the name of the extension file type at the given field below and click to add an item in the drop-down menu. Please include a period (.) before each extension. I.E. .svg, .png, .jpg
